JAY JAY TEXTILES PLC is part of the 50-year-old JAY JAY Group, a multinational manufacturer with factories in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia. Since launching its first factory in Ethiopia in 2014, the company has become a leader in infant and babywear garment production for export to the U.S. market.
Our major clients include Gerber Childrenswear, Garan, Carter’s, and The Children’s Place. In the past fiscal year, JAY JAY TEXTILES exported over USD 80 million from Ethiopia, contributing to the group’s combined global exports exceeding USD 350 million.
We are now expanding our operations in Ethiopia and invite qualified professionals to apply for the following positions:
1. Electrical Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, including site survey and project execution
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Location: Addis Ababa
2. Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
3. Civil Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in site management and construction supervision
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
4. Draftsperson
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma with proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Basic understanding of engineering and architectural principles
- Good communication and collaboration skills
5. Quantity Surveyor
Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail with strong analytical ability
6. Site Surveyor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Surveyor in construction projects
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and engineering drawings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
7. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Junior Executive
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or Chemical Engineering (Environment Stream)
- Relevant experience in EHS implementation and compliance preferred
