Position: IT Risk and Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Risk Identification & Assessment
- Support identification and assessment of technology-related risks
- Monitor IT systems and operations to ensure compliance with internal policies
- Assist in implementing risk mitigation measures
2. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
- Ensure adherence to National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) directives
- Support cyber security framework implementation
- Track compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
3. Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare risk and compliance reports for management
- Maintain documentation of IT controls and risk registers
- Assist in internal and external audit follow-ups
4. IT Governance & Security Support
- Promote secure IT practices across departments
- Support data protection and cyber risk control initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT governance standards
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (preferably in banking sector)
- At least 1 year in junior officer position
- Knowledge of IT risk frameworks and cyber security standards
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements
