POSITION: IT Assistant
SVO is seeking a motivated and innovative IT Assistant to join its technology and digital communication team. Under the supervision of the IT Specialist, the IT Assistant will support organizational technology systems, digital marketing efforts, and global communication platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintaining and updating SVO’s IT infrastructure and digital systems.
- Support website, email, and social media management.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and field offices.
- Contribute to data management, backup, and system security processes.
- Participate in the development of digital communication materials and online campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote technology-driven solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Graduation Year: 2024 (2016 E.C.) or 2025 (2017 E.C.).
- Minimum GPA: 3.40 and above (required).
- Language: Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of multiple Ethiopian languages is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with social media management, digital communication tools, and basic web administration.
- Personal Attributes: Integrity, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Commitment: Flexible to work beyond regular hours and travel when required.
- Passion: Dedicated to using technology for social good and community impact.
