About the International Rescue Committee (IRC)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the world’s leading humanitarian international NGOs, providing relief, rehabilitation, and development support to vulnerable people and communities in over 30 countries.
IRC has been operating in Ethiopia since 2000, initially responding to severe drought in the Somali region. Currently, IRC implements emergency and development programs across six regions, supporting Ethiopians and refugees in areas such as health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development, women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Diploma holders: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
- First degree holders: 0 years relevant work experience
- Minimum of 6 months previous IRC internship service
- NGO experience is an advantage
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Basic English speaking and writing skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and follow organizational procedures
Language Requirements
- Knowledge of the English language is mandatory
