ICL is the only laboratory in Ethiopia accredited five times in a row by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI). In partnership with referral laboratories, ICL offers more than 3,000 advanced diagnostic tests to patients and healthcare providers.
Position: Fleet Coordinator
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance or related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations for transportation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple fleet operations effectively.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Capacity to make decisions under pressure and complete tasks on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure transport staff adhere to schedules and maintain punctuality.
- Plan, adjust, and execute fleet schedules while training staff.
- Respond promptly to transportation requests from departments.
- Prepare and submit daily transport service reports, monitor fuel usage.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
- Report and follow up on accidents, insurance claims, and incidents.
- Develop policies for scheduling, routing, and dispatching vehicles.
- Manage transportation costs and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Collaborate with departments for sample transport and supply distribution.
- Maintain accurate transportation records, including air waybills and receipts.
- Hire, train, and supervise transport staff while managing performance.
- Act as liaison with government and non-government authorities.
- Manage visas and entry permits for international guests.
- Supervise organizational facilities and equipment maintenance.
