Position: Intern – Research Assistant and Programme Support

Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Analysis
- Conduct desk research and generate research briefs.
- Analyze technical reports and summarize key findings.
- Draft written materials, presentations, and analytical notes.
2. Project and Programme Support
- Assist in planning, implementing, and reporting on ongoing projects.
- Help organize workshops, meetings, and community engagement activities.
- Prepare PowerPoint slides and support presentations at official events.
3. Communication and Coordination
- Liaise with project partners and internal teams.
- Support documentation and knowledge management activities.
- Regularly update the National Programme Officer on progress and challenges.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education Requirements
At the time of application, you must be:
- Enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s, Ph.D.), OR
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s program, OR
- Recently graduated (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.).
Technical Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations.
Language Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (required).
- Knowledge of Amharic (desirable, but not mandatory).
Personal Attributes
- Strong interest in the UN’s mission and values.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Open-minded, tolerant, and culturally sensitive.
Research & Analysis Skills
- Strong writing, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear outputs.
