Position: Intern – Research Assistant and Programme Support

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis

  • Conduct desk research and generate research briefs.
  • Analyze technical reports and summarize key findings.
  • Draft written materials, presentations, and analytical notes.

2. Project and Programme Support

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and reporting on ongoing projects.
  • Help organize workshops, meetings, and community engagement activities.
  • Prepare PowerPoint slides and support presentations at official events.

3. Communication and Coordination

  • Liaise with project partners and internal teams.
  • Support documentation and knowledge management activities.
  • Regularly update the National Programme Officer on progress and challenges.

What You Need to Succeed:

Education Requirements
At the time of application, you must be:

  • Enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s, Ph.D.), OR
  • Enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s program, OR
  • Recently graduated (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.).

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations.

Language Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (required).
  • Knowledge of Amharic (desirable, but not mandatory).

Personal Attributes

  • Strong interest in the UN’s mission and values.

Research & Analysis Skills
