Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Humboldt Research Fellowship 2025 in Germany, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an international researcher from any country.
- PhD completed within the last 4 years before the application deadline.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German is advantageous.
- Must not have resided in Germany for more than 6 months in the last 18 months.
Fellowship Benefits

How to Apply

- Prepare application 4–7 months in advance of your preferred selection deadline.
- Send referees a secure link (via the application portal) to submit letters of recommendation.
- Selection rounds take place in March, July, and November.
