Internship: Communication and Visibility
Purpose of the Role:
To support the organization’s visibility and communications efforts by producing engaging content, managing social media, documenting projects, and promoting the mission of Humanity & Inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop content for newsletters, social media, websites, success stories, factsheets, and reports
- Create infographics, blog posts, press releases, and social media posts
- Gather project news and updates for regular posting on HInside
- Support documentation, archiving, and report preparation
- Track and enhance social media engagement, including analytics monitoring
- Collaborate on visibility campaigns, events, workshops, and outreach activities
- Capture high-quality photos and videos during field visits to project sites
- Manage administrative email communications and disseminate information to departments
- Maintain office reading corner or gallery
- Perform additional communications-related tasks as required
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recent graduate in Digital Design, Computer Science, Communications, Photography & Editing, Foreign Languages, or related fields
- Certification in Digital Design is an advantage
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms, digital design software, and content management systems
- Knowledge of video editing and digital design
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Team player, adaptable to changing priorities
Location: Addis Ababa
Internship Duration & Benefits:
- Practical experience in communication and visibility strategies within HI
- Monthly stipend of 1,000 Birr per day (tax applicable)
