Position: Packaging Operator
The Packaging Operator will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging operations within Heineken Ethiopia’s production facilities. The position requires hands-on involvement in maintaining quality standards, executing process tasks, and driving performance improvements across the packaging lines.
Education and Experience Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- Preferably TVET Level or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Auto Mechanics or Automotive Technology
Work Experience:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in beverage production, logistics, or manufacturing operations
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Implement and adhere to safety, environmental, and food safety procedures (including 5S, HACCP, and LSR principles)
- Conduct quality checks and inspections according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and report safety risks, inefficiencies, and quality deviations
- Participate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, RCFA, TPM activities)
- Ensure proper cleaning, tagging, and equipment maintenance
- Collect, record, and analyze performance data through digital tools
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure consistent production performance and product quality
- Support sustainability by identifying water and energy losses and proposing corrective actions
