Packaging Operator
The Packaging Operator is responsible for safely and effectively executing packaging process and product-related activities while contributing to improved key performance indicators, reduced production losses, and a safe working environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in beverage or logistics operations and shop-floor environments is preferable.
Key Responsibilities
Safety and Environmental Compliance
- Work according to established safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
- Follow 5S, housekeeping, and HACCP requirements applicable to the workplace.
- Identify safety risks within the department.
- Apply LSR principles, including safety do’s and don’ts.
- Take action when unsafe situations or behaviors are identified.
- Provide feedback and report safety issues to the relevant personnel.
- Safely shut down and start up equipment during the yearly overhaul.
- Comply with HEINEKEN and local safety rules, standards, and procedures.
- Identify water and energy losses within the area of responsibility and recommend solutions.
- Implement good environmental practices.
Quality and Food Safety
- Perform quality checks according to established standards and procedures on simple packaging machines.
- Conduct quality and food safety checks in accordance with applicable standards and safety procedures.
- Identify quality issues within the assigned area.
- Participate in improvement actions to prevent quality issues.
- Contribute to quality-related analyses, including DAS, RCFAs, and problem-solving activities.
Packaging Operations and Continuous Improvement
- Clean and disinfect equipment and work areas according to recipe standards, SOPs, and CILT requirements.
- Execute the tagging process and CILT activities.
- Apply problem-solving tools.
- Participate in improvement teams and take a leading role when required.
