Habesha Steel Mills is currently seeking dynamic, qualified, and results-driven professionals to join its growing team in various departments including supply chain, accounting, IT, operations, and import management.
Position 1: Import Officer
Educational Requirement
- BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in import/export operations
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Incoterms 2020
- Experience using Electronic Single Window (eSW) system
- Familiarity with Ethiopian customs and banking procedures
Competencies
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
Work Location
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 2: Accountant
Educational Requirement
- BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional accounting experience
- Manufacturing or industrial sector experience is advantageous
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as:
- Peachtree/Sage
- SAP
- ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Good understanding of IFRS standards
Competencies
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- High integrity and professional ethics
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Location
- Dukem
Position 3: Fireman
Educational Requirement
- Diploma or Grade 12 completion
- Technical certification in Boiler Operations, Heat Treatment, or related mechanical field is advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in furnace firing or boiler operations
- Experience in steel or heavy industry manufacturing plants is preferred
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of industrial burners and fuel systems
- Ability to interpret temperature gauges and pressure meters
Additional Requirements
- Physically fit to work in high-heat industrial environments
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to safety procedures
Work Location
- Dukem
Position 4: IT Applications Executive
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
- Around 4 years of experience in IT applications, ERP support, or system administration
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Familiarity with SAP Business One (SAP B1)
- Knowledge of programming concepts and business process automation
Competencies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and user support abilities
Work Location
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 5: Supply Chain Manager
Educational Requirement
- Master’s or BA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in supply chain or logistics
- At least 3 years in managerial role
- Manufacturing or heavy industry experience is preferred
Technical Skills
- Expertise in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Strong data analysis and inventory management skills
- Thorough knowledge of:
- International trade
- Incoterms
- Ethiopian customs and maritime laws
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and inventory control systems
Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
