About GIZ Ethiopia
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German development agency that provides sustainable development support across more than 120 countries. GIZ Ethiopia is currently implementing the Capacity Development for Strengthening Drought Resilience (CDSDR) Project, aimed at promoting climate resilience in Somali, Afar, Oromia, and SNNPR regions through integrated land rehabilitation and development initiatives.
Internship Position: Communication and M&E Intern
Are you a recent graduate eager to gain real-world experience in development communication and monitoring & evaluation? GIZ Ethiopia is offering a valuable internship opportunity under its CDSDR project to help shape sustainable futures across drought-prone regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support communication activities, including writing, editing, and visual content creation
- Assist in data collection and monitoring using digital tools like KoboToolbox
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, surveys, and stakeholder communications
- Maintain organized databases and performance tracking dashboards
- Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure successful project delivery
Qualification & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Fine Arts OR
- Master’s (or equivalent) in Social Studies, Cultural Studies, Development Studies, or Rural Development
- Skills & Tools:
- Strong command of English (working language)
- Proficient in MS Excel and Power BI
- Experience with online survey tools (e.g. KoboToolbox) is a plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Must be a fresh graduate (graduated within the last 6 months)
