Open Positions
1. Qualitative Data Collector – Urgent Opportunity
Qualifications:
- Educational background in Sociology, Social Work, or Anthropology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in qualitative data collection
- Experience working in one or more of the following regions: Oromia, Somali, Amhara, Afar, Tigray, South Ethiopia, Sidama, Southwest & Central Ethiopia
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs)
- Accurately document and transcribe qualitative data
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with field supervisors and project teams to meet data collection targets
- Provide daily progress updates and report field challenges promptly
- Adhere to ethical standards and project guidelines during data collection
Location: Addis Ababa
2. Software & Data Management Intern
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related fields
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, C#, or R preferred)
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and collaborative mindset
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and resilience when facing challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers and data managers in daily technical tasks
- Contribute to software and data management operations
- Develop skills for future roles such as Junior Data Manager, Software Engineer, or Data Engineer
