Position: Qualitative Data Collector (Urgent Opportunity)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs)
- Accurately document, transcribe, and report qualitative data
- Ensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality at all times
- Engage effectively with diverse communities across Ethiopia
- Provide daily field updates and promptly report challenges to supervisors
- Adhere to ethical standards and project-specific guidelines
Qualifications:
- Educational background in Sociology, Social Work, or Anthropology
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in qualitative data collection
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse communities and field teams
- Prior experience working in at least one of the following regions is required:
- Oromia
- Somali
- Amhara
- Afar
- Tigray
- South Ethiopia
- Sidama
- South West & Central Ethiopia
Location: Addis Ababa (with fieldwork in regions)
Project Start Date: Monday, August 25, 2025 – selected candidates must be available to start immediately
