About FAO Internship Programme
The FAO Internship Programme 2025 is a learning opportunity for talented young women and men who are motivated to contribute innovative ideas and fresh perspectives in FAO’s areas of work. This programme allows interns to supplement academic knowledge with practical work experience aligned with FAO’s mandate and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a national of an FAO member country.
- Education: Students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programmes, or recent graduates.
- Age: Between 21 and 30 years old at the start of the internship.
- Languages: Working knowledge of at least one FAO official language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian). Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
- Skills: Ability to adapt to multicultural environments, good communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.
- Residence/Visa: Must have appropriate residence or immigration status in the country of assignment before starting.
- Family Relations: Candidates with close family members employed by FAO are not eligible.
Duration
- Internship assignments range from 3 to 11 months, depending on the position and FAO office requirements.
