Position Overview
The Logistics Intern will work under the supervision of the Senior Logistics Officer to perform transparent and efficient logistic activities at ACTED’s capital office in Addis Ababa. This role provides an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in humanitarian logistics.
Responsibilities
- Stock/Warehouse Management: Maintain accurate stock records and ensure proper storage.
- Procurement: Assist in procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of materials.
- Delivery Follow-Up: Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
- Filing & Documentation: Maintain organized records of logistic activities.
- Fleet Management Support: Assist in monitoring and maintaining ACTED vehicles.
- Accountability: Ensure transparency and accountability to communities and beneficiaries.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
