About EthSwitch
EthSwitch is Ethiopia’s National Switch, owned by private and public banks, the National Bank of Ethiopia, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Payment Instrument Issuers (PIIs), and Payment Service Operators (PSOs).
EthSwitch is mandated to create interoperability among financial institutions, implement the Domestic Payment Scheme, provide a National Payment Gateway, support central interconnectivity for clearing and settlement, and deliver shared digital payment infrastructure services.

1. Senior Auditor
Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Management
- Related fields
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in an officer position.
- Experience in:
- Internal audit
- External audit
- Financial management
- Procurement
- Operational auditing
Experience auditing financial statements prepared according to IFRS is an added advantage.

2. Senior Auditor – Digital Payments
Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Banking
- Economics
- Information Systems
- Related fields
Requirements
- Knowledge of payment systems, digital financial services, or banking operations is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- 4–6 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in professional positions.
- Experience in:
- Digital payments
- Banking operations
- Internal auditing

3. Senior IT Auditor (Cybersecurity & Technology Audit)
Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Information Security
- Computer Engineering
- Related fields
Requirements
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are an advantage.
- 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in:
- IT Audit
- Cybersecurity
- Information Systems Audit

4. Manager – Card Payment Switch Division
Qualification
BSc/MSc in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Related fields
Requirements
- 6–8 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in senior officer positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective operations of the Card Payment Switch Division.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee onboarding and integration of financial institutions.
- Drive implementation of card, ATM, and POS products and services.

5. Senior Planning & Performance Management Officer

Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience.

Master’s Degree in:

Requirements
- Minimum:
- 5 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders
- 7 years of relevant experience for Bachelor’s degree holders
- Experience in compliance or regulatory affairs, preferably in:
- Financial services
- Digital payments
Experience working with financial institutions, financial intelligence units, or regulatory bodies is an advantage.
