About EthSwitch
EthSwitch is Ethiopia’s National Payment Switch, owned by public and private banks, the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Payment Instrument Issuers (PIIs), and Payment System Operators (PSOs).
EthSwitch is responsible for creating interoperability among financial institutions, implementing the domestic payment scheme, providing the national payment gateway, facilitating central clearing and settlement, and delivering shared payment infrastructure services across Ethiopia.
The company is currently inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the following vacant positions.
Position 1: Senior Auditor
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Management
- Related fields
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree: 5 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree: 3 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years must be in an Officer position.
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience in internal audit, external audit, financial management, procurement, or operational auditing.
- Experience auditing IFRS-based financial statements is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Position 2: Senior Auditor – Digital Payments
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Banking
- Economics
- Information Systems
- Related fields
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree: 6 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree: 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years must be in professional positions.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in digital payments, banking operations, or internal auditing.
- Knowledge of payment systems, digital financial services, or banking operations is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.

Position 3: Senior IT Auditor (Cybersecurity & Technology Audit)
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Information Security
- Computer Engineering
- Related fields
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree: 6 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree: 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years must be in professional positions.
Additional Requirements
- Relevant experience in:
- IT Audit
- Cybersecurity
- Information Systems Audit
- Professional certifications such as:
- CISA
- CISSP
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- Equivalent certifications are an advantage.

Position 4: Manager – Card Payment Switch Division
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have:
- BSc or MSc Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Related fields
Experience Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree: 8 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree: 6 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years must be in senior officer positions.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the Card Payment Switch Division.
- Ensuring efficient and effective operational performance.
- Developing and implementing the division’s strategic plan.
- Overseeing onboarding and integration of new financial institutions.
- Leading the implementation of new card, ATM, and POS products and services.
