About Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC)
The Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) was established in 1976 through Proclamation No. 68/1975, merging thirteen nationalized private insurance companies into a single public insurer. It remains Ethiopia’s largest insurance provider, offering comprehensive coverage through a wide branch network.
Reconstituted in 1994 as a public enterprise under Proclamation No. 201/94, EIC continues to be a cornerstone of Ethiopia’s financial sector. The organization is currently implementing a major modernization initiative to enhance customer service, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across all business units.
About the Young Professionals (Pre-Service) Program
The EIC Young Professionals Program is designed for outstanding 2025 graduates (2017 E.C.) in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related fields, who aspire to build a career in the insurance and financial sector.
Minimum GPA: 3.2
Duration: 6 months intensive pre-service program
Program Highlights
During the six-month structured program, selected candidates will:
- Receive hands-on training across multiple departments — including underwriting, claims, finance, digital operations, and risk management.
- Participate in classroom and practical learning on technical and soft skills.
- Gain mentorship from experienced EIC professionals and industry leaders.
- Rotate through various departments to develop a holistic understanding of EIC’s operations and strategic priorities.
- Upon successful completion, be assigned to a department that aligns with their strengths and the organization’s needs.
