1. Personal Assistant
Educational Qualification
- BA Degree or Diploma (Level IV Certificate) in any social science field.
Work Experience
- BA Degree holders: No prior work experience required.
- Diploma or Level IV Certificate holders: At least 2 years of experience as a Personal Assistant, in secretarial services, or office management.
Additional Requirements
- Commitment and willingness to work with persons with disabilities.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of Amharic and English is required.
- Knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
Monthly Salary: ETB 13,023–14,995
Allowances
- House allowance: ETB 6,050 per month.
- Transport allowance: ETB 4,000 per month.
Duty Station: Head Office.
2. Cleaner
Educational Qualification
- Completion of Grade 8.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Required Skills
- Ability to speak, read, and write in Amharic.
- Ability to uphold the Commission’s core values.
Monthly Salary: ETB 7,200–8,592
Allowances
- House allowance: ETB 6,050.
- Transport allowance: ETB 4,000.
Duty Station: Head Office.
3. Registrar
Educational Qualification
- LL.B, LL.M, or MA in Human Rights Law, International Law, or Law.
Work Experience
- LL.B holders: At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- MA/LL.M holders: At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process human rights complaints through the case management system.
- Issue summons and copies of decisions.
- Make decisions on the admissibility of complaints.
- Maintain accurate case records and communicate with complainants.
Additional Requirements
- Computer literacy.
- Amharic language proficiency is required.
4. Associate Human Rights Officer
Educational Qualification
- BA/LL.B or MA/LL.M in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law.
Work Experience
- MA/LL.M holders: No prior experience required.
- BA/LL.B holders: At least 2 years of relevant experience, or 6–12 months of participation in the Young Leaders or Internship Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with investigations into human rights complaints.
- Monitor detention facilities.
- Draft monitoring reports.
- Support emergency human rights monitoring activities.
Additional Requirements
- Computer literacy.
- Amharic language proficiency is required.
5. Human Rights Officer – Monitoring and Investigation
Department: Human Rights Monitoring and Investigation.
Educational Qualification
- LL.B, LL.M, or MA in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law.
Work Experience
- LL.B holders: At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- MA/LL.M holders: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage investigations into human rights complaints.
- Conduct monitoring visits to detention centers.
- Prepare monitoring and investigation reports.
- Develop recommendations and advocacy or follow-up strategies.
Additional Requirements
- Computer literacy.
- Amharic language proficiency is required.
6. Senior Legal Expert
Department: Public Relations.
Educational Qualification
- LL.M or MA in Human Rights Law, International Law, or a related law field.
Work Experience
- At least 6 years of experience in writing, editing, or producing human rights-related outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze legal and human rights trends.
- Draft policies and working procedures.
- Review investigation and monitoring reports.
- Prepare standard templates and documentation guidelines.
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Amharic and English.
- Computer literacy.
