The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the following vacant positions.
The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization committed to promoting the rights, inclusion, and opportunities of persons with disabilities. The organization works to mainstream disability inclusion in service delivery, humanitarian action, and development programs through collaboration with national and international partners.
Available Positions
Position 1: Junior Case Officer
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Special Needs Education, Psychology, or related fields
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in case management, data collection and reporting, protection services, or social service programs
- Experience working with children, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups is highly desirable
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of case management principles
- Ability to use structured data collection tools and reporting formats
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
- Fluency in Amharic is required
- Knowledge of additional local languages is an advantage

Position 2: Project Coordinator
Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Business Administration, Management, or related fields
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of experience coordinating or managing disability-inclusive livelihood projects
- Good understanding of national TVET policies and strategies
- Knowledge of organizations working in livelihoods and disability inclusion in Ethiopia
Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of special needs education and training practices
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems
- Strong writing, reporting, and communication skills
- Result-based project management skills
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to meet donor compliance requirements
- Familiarity with AICS procedures and requirements is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in vocational skills training and disability inclusion
- Competence in computer applications
- Fluency in English and local language(s)
