The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) is a government institute dedicated to accelerating the growth and transformation of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector — a key pillar of the national economy contributing significantly to GDP, exports, and employment.
ATI’s mission is to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through initiatives that promote income generation, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability. The Institute implements high-impact programs and collaborates with partners to address systemic bottlenecks in the agriculture sector.

1. Regional Junior Finance Officer – Cashier
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Junior Finance Officer, Accountant, or Cashier Accountant
Additional Skills & Competencies:
- Experience with NGOs or donor-funded programs is an asset
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, QuickBooks)
- Knowledge of Ethiopian financial laws and procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English, Somali, and Amharic
- Certification in Project Management is an added advantage
Duty Station: Jigjiga, Ethiopia
2. Driver
Education: Diploma/Certificate in Auto Mechanics with a valid 3rd-grade driving license
Experience: Minimum 2 years of safe driving experience
Additional Skills:
- Proven record of safety and efficiency
- Ability to handle vehicles responsibly and follow instructions
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Good communication skills in English and Amharic (regional languages required)

3. Senior Project Officer II – Agribusiness and Markets
Education: MA/MSc in Agribusiness, Agricultural Marketing, Development Economics, Business Management, or related fields
Experience: Minimum 8 years in agricultural marketing, private sector engagement, or related fields
Additional Skills:
- Experience in humanitarian or development-peace nexus preferred
- Strong project coordination and market linkage experience

4. Senior Project Officer II – Sub-Grant (Technical)
Education: MA in Project Management, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Work, or related fields
Experience: Minimum 8 years in sub-grant management and donor compliance; at least 2 years in a senior role
Additional Skills:
- Experience with multi-donor programs (e.g., MCF, DANIDA, RNE, AFD, EU)
- Strong financial, risk, and compliance management skills
- Familiarity with ERP and Project Cycle Management (PCM)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa (with regional travel)
5. Senior Project Officer II – Sub-Grant (Finance)
Education: MA/MBA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or ACCA equivalent)
Experience: Minimum 8 years in grant or subgrant financial management; 2 years in leadership role
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of donor compliance frameworks (DANIDA, RNE, etc.)
- Strong accounting, budgeting, and reporting expertise
Duty Station: Addis Ababa (with regional travel)
6. Finance Officer
Education: MA/BA in Accounting or Accounting & Finance
Experience: Minimum 2 years (MA) or 4 years (BA) as a Finance Officer, Accountant, or Cashier Accountant
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Knowledge of Ethiopian financial laws
- Fluency in English, Amharic, and regional languages
Duty Station: Bahir Dar, Ethiopia
7. Senior Project Officer II – PMER (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting)
Education: MA/MSc in M&E, Project Management, Statistics, Economics, or related fields
Experience: Minimum 8 years in PMER with donor-funded projects
Additional Skills:
- Proven experience in MEAL systems and agricultural program evaluation
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs and produce impact assessments
