Position Summary: Junior Accountant
EthioChicken is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Addis Ababa. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates or early-career professionals with a background in Accounting or Finance. The successful candidate will support day-to-day financial operations and help ensure accurate and timely financial documentation, reporting, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify payments to vendors and service providers
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records
- Maintain up-to-date vendor files and payment documentation
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal departments to support cross-functional financial needs
- Assist in maintaining records using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage
- Prior internship or work experience in an accounting/finance role is preferable
