Position: Junior Veterinary Laboratory Technologist
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of poultry pathogens and diagnostic techniques, including:
- PCR
- ELISA
- Bacteriological techniques
- Familiarity with, or strong interest in, ISO/IEC 17025 systems and laboratory quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory protocols.
- Reliable and responsible approach to laboratory work.
- Effective communication skills in Amharic and English.
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to work in a dynamic, field-integrated environment.
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample collection and processing.
- Diagnostic testing.
- Quality assurance and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Supporting laboratory operations and protocols.
- Continuous professional development and learning.
