Position: Electrical Engineer – Building & IT Systems
CCECC Ethiopian Branch is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee and contribute to the design, planning, and execution of complex electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. This is a dynamic role involving electrical design, CAD drafting, power distribution, and IT system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review building electrical systems, including power supply and distribution
- Prepare CAD-based electrical drawings for architectural projects
- Oversee the integration of IT network systems, Data Centers, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Ensure all designs comply with Ethiopian national standards
- Use professional electrical design software to complete detailed schematics and models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project phases
- Support quality assurance and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide technical reports and documentation as needed
- Participate in team meetings and adhere to project timelines
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Registered with a recognized professional engineering institution
- Proficient in CAD and design software for electrical engineering
- Proven experience in building electrical design, including power systems
- Skilled in IT systems design, data center layouts, and BMS integration
- Familiar with Ethiopian building codes and electrical standards
- Strong English communication and technical writing skills
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to project success
