The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh offers a fully funded opportunity for talented young Africans to pursue a master’s degree in the UK. Financial Coverage
The Edinburgh Mastercard Foundation Scholarship is fully funded and covers the following:
- Full tuition fees
- Accommodation expenses
- Maintenance and living stipend
- Access to mentorship, work-based placements, and leadership development opportunities

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Edinburgh Mastercard Foundation Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country
- Hold a bachelor’s degree by September 2025
- Not be currently enrolled in any other postgraduate program on a scholarship
- Demonstrate academic eligibility for their chosen program
- Show a track record of leadership and community service
- Exhibit financial need and a lack of access to education opportunities abroad
- Commit to returning to their home country or region to drive change
