The company is innovating in electric mobility through the development of EV products, battery-swapping services, and reliable after-sales solutions.
Through Yazawa Spare Parts, its affiliated division launched in 2024, Dodai is pioneering electric vehicle spare parts distribution and service delivery across Ethiopia. As part of our scaling operations, we are looking for motivated and energetic Battery Swappers to join our team in Addis Ababa.
Position: Battery Swapper
Who Should Apply:
This opportunity is open to male applicants with a background in engineering or logistics and a passion for clean energy and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform battery swaps within 2 minutes per transaction using the Dodai mobile app
- Provide on-site customer support and guide riders through battery exchange procedures
- Track battery inventory and monitor levels of charged, depleted, or faulty units
- Handle battery charging and ensure safe placement and storage
- Inspect equipment (battery racks, chargers, tools) daily for proper functionality
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at the swapping station
- Log and report system errors, app issues, damaged batteries, or customer feedback
- Assist in setting up new stations, restocking inventory, or minor maintenance as needed
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven use of mobile applications in professional or delivery/logistics settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely
- Ability to lift and carry batteries (up to 32 kilos)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Positive, customer-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of electric vehicles or battery tech is an asset
