Position: Account Receivable Supervisor
The Account Receivable Supervisor will lead a team of professionals responsible for executing Credit and Collections and Accounts Receivable (OTC) activities. The role focuses on minimizing financial risk, ensuring timely repayments and maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.
Role Purpose
- Set and implement operational objectives for the Credit & Collections and Accounts Receivable team
- Minimize credit risk, reduce losses and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards and industry requirements
Key Responsibilities
Credit and Collections Oversight
- Establish day-to-day operational goals for the team
- Ensure accurate processing and recording of financial transactions
- Conduct credit assessments and ensure follow-up on outstanding debts
- Monitor credit accounts to identify and mitigate problem debts
Team Supervision
- Supervise and mentor a team of professionals
- Ensure the team meets deadlines, targets and service level agreements
- Provide guidance on complex customer issues, bad debt challenges and special calculations
Operational and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance service quality and reduce costs
- Support implementation of credit approval processes and repayment structures
- Conduct Accounts Receivable age analysis and generate reports
- Follow up with customers via letters and emails regarding overdue accounts
Issue Resolution
- Resolve escalated customer concerns
- Manage exceptions outside standard processes
- Support verification, approval and authorization of customer credit applications
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Credit & Collections or Accounts Receivable management
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to analyze financial data, manage risks and ensure compliance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
