About the Ethiopian Securities Exchange
The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) is Ethiopia’s first and only organized securities exchange, established as a public-private partnership in accordance with Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021.
ESX operates as a central market organizer for capital markets, providing a comprehensive financial marketplace covering:
- Equities
- Fixed Income
- Money Market instruments
The exchange also functions as a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) responsible for overseeing market integrity and operations.
Position: Customer Support Intern
The Customer Support Intern will assist in providing information and support services to investors, market participants, and the public, helping them understand and access ESX digital platforms and capital market services.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have:
- BSc Degree in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Business Information Systems
- Marketing
- Journalism
- Related fields
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Support
- Receive and respond to phone calls from investors, issuers, market participants, and the public
- Provide clear information about:
- ESX services and general operations
- Investor registration and participation in the capital market
- Accessing ESX digital platforms such as the Neway ESX App
- Guide users step-by-step in using ESX digital services including:
- ESX Academy
- Neway ESX App
2. Issue Identification
- Identify and document user-reported issues, complaints, or technical problems
- Report unresolved issues to relevant ESX departments including:
- Technical teams
- Operations
- Communications teams
3. User Guidance
Assist users in troubleshooting common issues such as:
- Login difficulties
- Password resets
- Navigation challenges on ESX platforms
- Understanding ESX features and services
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain records of user inquiries, issues, and resolutions
- Prepare daily or weekly summaries highlighting:
- Common user questions
- Recurring issues
- Areas needing improvement or clarification
5. User Experience Feedback
- Provide feedback to ESX teams regarding:
- User challenges
- Platform usability concerns
- Potential improvements to digital services
