About CorpsAfrica
CorpsAfrica is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that empowers young African graduates to lead community-driven development initiatives. The program focuses on placing volunteers in underserved communities to identify local challenges and implement sustainable, community-led solutions.
Program Summary
Selected volunteers will undergo six weeks of Pre-Service Training followed by 10 months of field service in rural Ethiopia. Volunteers live and work within communities to identify key development challenges, design solutions with local partners, and implement impactful projects.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 21 years or older at the start of service
- Hold a university degree or equivalent professional experience
- Be physically and emotionally ready to serve in rural areas for one year
- Demonstrate strong commitment to community service and social impact
- Show willingness to live and work in underserved communities
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
