Position: Area Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume and revenue growth targets by effectively leading and coaching a field sales team. This role requires a results-oriented and customer-focused leader capable of executing sales strategies and growing market share across assigned areas.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to meet sales targets
- Maximize resource allocation (POS, coolers, merchandising materials)
- Partner with sales reps and customers to develop customer-specific business plans
- Drive outlet development and ensure execution of “Picture of Success” standards
- Ensure compliance with promotional activities and track deviations
- Monitor and report on competitor activities in the market
- Enforce quality control and trade replacement standards
- Conduct coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews for team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and marketing experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role
- Valid Auto or Dry 1 Driver’s License
- Strong ability to lead and motivate a sales team
- Experience in fast-paced sales operations
- Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills
