About Cheshire Ethiopia
Cheshire Ethiopia is an Ethiopian Resident Charity dedicated to providing orthopedic and social rehabilitation services for children and young people with disabilities. Established in 1962 by the grandchildren of the late Emperor Haile Selassie with technical support from Captain Leonard Cheshire, the organization has become a leading local NGO in physical rehabilitation and disability-inclusive development.
The organization works to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities through rehabilitation services, healthcare support, and community development programs across Ethiopia.
Cheshire Ethiopia is currently inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following vacant positions at its Hawassa Rehabilitation Center.
Position 1: Junior Druggist
Qualifications
- Diploma or BSc Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized college or university.
- Renewed Professional License is mandatory.
Experience
- 0 years of experience required.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Duty Station

Position 2: Optometrist
Qualifications
- Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution.
- Renewed Professional License is required.
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Position 3: Ophthalmic Nurse
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in eye care services.

Position 4: Assistant Optical Technician
Qualifications
- Completion of High School education.
- One-year training in Optical Technician studies.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Skills in eye care services are advantageous.

Position 5: Clinical Nurse
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing.
