About CECOE
CECOE is a prominent coalition of civil society organizations committed to promoting transparent and credible elections in Ethiopia. As a member of the East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network (E-HORN), African Election Observers Network (AfEONet), and the Global Network of Domestic Election Monitors (GNDEM), CECOE plays a vital role in ensuring election integrity at local and national levels.
Internship Position: Data & Administrative Support
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, IT, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar data tools
- Amharic and English fluency (spoken & written); local language skills relevant to assigned regions are preferred
- At least 3 months of experience in data entry, administrative support, or CSO-related work; election-related experience is a plus
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment of election observers in coordination with regional and zonal coordinators
- Verify and clean observation data from reports, checklists, and forms
- Organize and summarize cleaned data to support report generation
- Provide administrative support for data-related activities, including digitization and archiving
- Participate in quality control of training materials and simulations
- Report discrepancies and issues to the management team
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under supervision and collaboratively in a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
