About the Scholarship
The Canadian Government Scholarships 2026 are fully funded programs designed to support international students to pursue higher education in Canada. The program is administered by Global Affairs Canada and covers tuition, living expenses, travel, and other academic costs. Scholarships are available for short-term mobility, diploma programs, post-secondary or post-graduate certificates, and Master’s or PhD degrees.
This scholarship provides an opportunity to study at any Canadian college, technical/vocational school, or university while gaining global experience and contributing to international development.
Financial Benefits
The scholarship fully covers the following:
- Tuition Fees: For up to 20 months of academic study
- Monthly Stipend: CAD 10,200 for college/undergraduate/graduate students (4 months minimum)
- CAD 12,700 for graduate students (5–6 months)
- Visa/Study/Work Permit Fees & Biometrics
- Economy-Class Airfare to Canada
- Health Insurance
- Living Expenses: Accommodation, utilities, and food
- Ground Transportation: Public transport pass included
- Books and Supplies: Required for study or research (excluding computers)
- Administrative Support: Up to CAD 500 per recipient from host institution
- Note: Language training is not covered.
Scholarship Duration
- Minimum: 1 Academic Year (8 months)
- Maximum: 2 Academic Years (24 months)
- Programs must start between August 2025 and February 2026

- Open to students from all disciplines at Canadian post-secondary institutions
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of eligible countries/territories:
- Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan
- Europe: Türkiye, Ukraine
- Middle East & North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda
- Not hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, nor have a pending application
- Be admitted to a full-time academic program at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Indicate interest in the Study in Canada Scholarships program during the admission application
- Possess the linguistic competence necessary to study in English or French

Login or Create an account using “Apply Link” given below to apply for the scholarship on behalf of students.
- Once you have logged into your account, select the Study in Canada Scholarships program in the “For Non Canadians” section and click on “Apply Now”
- Enter data in the fields marked mandatory and follow instructions for each item.
- Upload all required supporting documents. Each document must be smaller than 5 MB and in .pdf, .jpg, .doc, .docx, .txt or .gif format for the application to upload successfully.
- Verify the data prior to submission.
- Click “SUMBIT”. You will receive a confirmation message and a reference number for submitted applications.
- Print the form for your records using the print function in the browser.
