Position: Cafeteria Kitchen Steward
The Cafeteria Kitchen Steward plays a critical role in supporting the AMCOM cafeteria by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires strong physical stamina, teamwork skills, and attention to detail to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishware, glassware, and utensils.
- Maintain daily cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling in compliance with hygiene standards.
- Assist with food storage and rotation of stock.
- Support kitchen staff during food preparation as needed.
- Receive and organize food deliveries.
- Adhere to AMCOM policies and HACCP safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure overall kitchen success and guest satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience as a steward in a restaurant or cafeteria kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Certificate or formal training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
- Physical stamina and ability to handle kitchen tasks efficiently.
- Teamwork and good communication skills.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant or similar environment preferred.
