Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or medical equipment handling is an advantage
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management software
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Summary
The Biomedical Equipment Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining records of biomedical equipment, spare parts, tools, accessories, and consumables used in healthcare facilities.
The role ensures proper inventory control, safe storage practices, accurate documentation, and timely distribution of materials to support healthcare operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming biomedical equipment and supplies
- Store equipment, spare parts, and consumables safely and systematically
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock balances
- Issue materials and equipment based on approved requests
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages when necessary
- Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage area
- Support inventory audits and stock verification activities
- Ensure safe handling and storage of medical equipment and accessories
- Coordinate with relevant departments for timely distribution of materials
