About Bilal Microfinance Institution S.C.

Bilal Microfinance Institution S.C. is a full-fledged interest-free microfinance institution established under the National Bank of Ethiopia Directive No. MFI/32/2021.

The institution provides Sharia-compliant and inclusive microfinance services, supporting communities that face barriers to accessing conventional financial services due to interest-based financing.

Position Available

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CEO will provide strategic leadership, oversee institutional operations, ensure sustainable growth, and guide the organization in delivering effective interest-free financial services.

Qualification Requirements

Education

Applicants must have:

• BA Degree or Master’s Degree in:
  • Banking and Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Business Administration
  • Management
  • Related fields

Additional Certifications (Advantage)

Professional certifications in:

• Islamic Finance
• Corporate Governance
• Leadership
• Risk Management

are considered an advantage.

Experience & Competencies

Applicants should have:

• Minimum 10 years of overall work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial institutions.
• Minimum 4 years in senior executive or strategic management positions.
• Experience in interest-free/Islamic finance is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Sharia principles
  • Sharia-compliant financial products
  • Financial institution management
