Position: Safety and Environmental Control Personnel
We’re hiring a qualified and experienced safety professional who will help shape and maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible work environment.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a safety and environmental control role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Applicants below or above this qualification range will not be considered
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update risk assessments and environmental/safety plans
- Create strategies to reduce accidents, illness, and environmental incidents, especially those related to plastic pipe production
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and local regulatory requirements
- Drive the implementation of safety best practices across operations and production teams
- Conduct safety training and ensure all employees understand their responsibilities
- Minimize potential physical, chemical, ergonomic, or psychological hazards in all work processes
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA and Ethiopian EHS regulations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to implement and monitor safety management systems
- Experience in plastic manufacturing environments is a strong advantage
