Position: Accountant
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or similar.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and records.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and internal financial policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal audit processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial management.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian tax system and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
