Position: Mobility Aid Technician
The Mobility Aid Technician will work in Addis Guzo’s wheelchair workshop, helping provide wheelchair solutions tailored to the individual needs and circumstances of people with disabilities.
A wheelchair is more than simply a frame with four wheels. The role involves learning how to provide appropriate wheelchair services and adapt mobility equipment to support each individual’s needs.
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have a:
- Diploma or Level IV qualification in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Automotive Mechanics
- Machine Technology/Manufacturing
- Metal Fabrication
- General Mechanics
- Or a related technical field
Required Skills and Personal Qualities
The successful candidate should have:
- Strong curiosity and willingness to discover new things.
- An open mind and keen attention to detail.
- Strong motivation to learn new skills.
- Enjoyment in working with and meeting people.
- Practical, hands-on technical skills.

Training and Development
Addis Guzo is looking for someone who is curious about the technical and medical aspects of mobility aids and is willing to develop new skills.
During the first two years, the organization will support the successful candidate in developing from a technician into a wheelchair technician, working alongside an experienced team.
