About Action Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and malnutrition in over 50 countries. The organization takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger, implementing relief and development programs in crisis-affected and vulnerable communities.
Established in Ethiopia in 1985, the country office initially responded to severe drought and famine. Since then, Action Against Hunger has worked in Tigray, Amhara, Oromia, and other regions—supporting emergency response, resilience-building, and long-term development programs.
Position: ICT Office
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO context.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience providing technical support and IT assistance across departments.
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and technical writing, including reporting).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (2010, 2016), including Microsoft 365.
- Solid knowledge of IT troubleshooting, system maintenance, and network technologies (LAN/Wi-Fi).
- Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and a collaborative approach in multicultural settings.
