Job Objective
The Associate Attorney is responsible for protecting the Bank from potential legal vulnerabilities by providing legal analysis, preparing legal advice, reviewing credit-related legal documents, and ensuring that required legal requirements are fulfilled.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare loans, pledges, mortgages and other related contracts
- Ensure legal requirements are fulfilled for borrowers and pledgers/mortgagors
- Verify the legality of contracts according to current laws, bank procedures and checklists
- Draft and submit legal opinions
- Review previous contracts and verify fulfillment of legal requirements
- Review and sign completed contracts
- Review mortgage registration and collateral insurance documents
- Follow up on mortgage contract limitation periods
- Check documents kept in safe custody
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Identify legal defects and recommend corrective measures
- Work collaboratively with credit staff
- Provide timely legal opinions
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor
