ZOA Ethiopia works with communities to rebuild lives through emergency assistance, recovery, and long-term development.
Position Summary
ZOA Ethiopia seeks a Communications Intern to strengthen its external communications and enhance its public profile through creative storytelling, digital media, and branding initiatives. The intern will play a key role in content creation, social media engagement, and visibility support for ZOA’s humanitarian programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement ZOA’s communication and visibility plans, including digital and print materials.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content on social media platforms.
- Support the design and production of banners, signage, and branded materials (e.g., T-shirts, uniforms).
- Assist in organizing and promoting ZOA events and campaigns.
- Collect and share stories, photos, and testimonials from the field.
- Monitor and report on communication reach and engagement.
- Ensure ZOA branding guidelines are applied consistently.
- Perform other communications tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recent graduate (2024/2025) or final-year student in Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in social media management and content creation.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
