ABOUT THE MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto is a fully funded scholarship program designed to provide citizens from Sub-Saharan Africa with access to world-class graduate education. U of T is recognized as one of the world’s leading research-intensive universities, known for innovation, discovery, and academic excellence.
The program aims to equip scholars with the skills, networks, and resources to engage in diverse healthcare professions and health-related sectors in Africa. Upon completion, scholars are expected to return to their home countries to contribute to improving health outcomes, engage in self-employment, or work in relevant professions.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program offers full financial support for the duration of graduate studies, including:
- Tuition fees and academic costs
- Travel expenses to Canada (passport and visa fees included)
- Accommodation and meals
- Health insurance coverage
- Laptop and essential learning materials
- Other necessary living expenses
