Available Internship Positions
1. Economic Affairs Intern
Location: Addis Ababa
Role Overview:
The intern will support economic research, policy analysis, and development-related initiatives that contribute to Africa’s economic development agenda.
2. ICT Support Intern – IT Network Maintenance and Upgrade
Location: Addis Ababa
Role Overview:
The intern will assist with network maintenance, IT system upgrades, and technical support activities related to ICT infrastructure within UNECA.
3. Service Desk Technician – Medical Systems Support (Intern)
Location: Addis Ababa
Role Overview:
The intern will provide technical support for medical systems and assist with service desk operations and IT support services.
Internship Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following conditions at the time of application:
- Be enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s degree or higher)
- Be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree program
- Have recently completed a bachelor’s or graduate degree
Work Experience:
- No professional work experience is required
- Academic training and coursework should be relevant to the internship field
Important Internship Information
- Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
- Interns are responsible for their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living expenses.
- Applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken may need to obtain the appropriate visa or work authorization.
