Position: ACS Intern on Data Analysis

Educational Qualification

Applicants should meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate degree program (Master’s degree or equivalent, or higher).

OR

  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree program (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).

Preferred Qualification

  • Completion of a Master’s degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in a development-related field is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

The successful intern will be responsible for:

  • Profile emerging data sources and evaluate their suitability for addressing data gaps.
  • Compile metadata from national and international statistical websites.
  • Support the harmonization and comparability of African development indicators across multiple databases.
  • Assist in developing statistical tools to automate analytical processes.
  • Recommend modern tools for statistical data visualization.
  • Prepare statistical summaries, methodologies, and analytical findings.
  • Support statistical data compilation, analysis, and economic data management.
  • Assist with policy-oriented research activities.
  • Contribute to dashboard development and data management tools.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and background materials.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives and training activities.
  • Organize and maintain standardized datasets and statistical records.
