About OHCHR
Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is responsible for promoting and protecting human rights globally, supporting governments and empowering individuals to uphold fundamental rights and freedoms.
Position: Intern
Support the OHCHR Ethiopia Country Programme in human rights monitoring, research, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze human rights developments
- Conduct research and draft reports
- Prepare daily human rights updates
- Support engagement with UN human rights mechanisms
- Assist in integrating human rights into policies and programs
- Organize workshops and take meeting notes
- Support program activities as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Final-year Bachelor’s student
- OR enrolled in Master’s/PhD program
- OR recent graduate
Field of Study:
- Law
- Human Rights
- International Relations
- Public Administration
- Political Science
- Social Sciences or related fields
Experience:
- No work experience required
Skills:
- Strong research and analytical ability
- Interest in human rights and UN work
- Ability to work in multicultural environments
