Since 1981, UNDP has been active in Ethiopia, providing strategic support to build national capacity in areas such as poverty reduction, democratic governance, economic growth, and climate-resilient development.
Position: Intern – Security
This internship opportunity is open for national applicants only. It is designed for highly motivated students or recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in the field of security and development within the UN system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (Master’s or higher) OR recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, International Relations, Police Science, or related fields.
- Applicants must begin the internship within one year of graduation.
- Professional experience is not required, but the field of study should be closely related to the internship area.
- Must be available to work for 6 consecutive months.
- Strong interest in security and development issues.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and the national language is required.
- Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
