Position: IT Infrastructure Technician

Educational Requirements

Applicants must have:

• At least two years of post-secondary education at a vocational college or university in one of the following fields:
  • Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure
  • Telecommunications
  • Electronics Maintenance
  • Network Systems
  • Related fields

Applicants should clearly describe their educational background in the Education section of the ERA application.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
  • Installation of IT infrastructure
  • Repair and maintenance of data, voice, radio, or video infrastructure systems

Applicants should explain their experience under the Major Duties and Responsibilities section of the ERA application.

Language Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Good working knowledge of English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing)
• Fluent Amharic (Speaking, Reading, and Writing)

Language proficiency may be tested during the recruitment process.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• IT infrastructure installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Telecommunications and internet regulations applicable in Ethiopia.
• Radio, voice, data, and network infrastructure standards.
• User-level operation of:
  • Radios
  • Telephones
  • Televisions
  • Audiovisual equipment
• Cabling and networking systems.
• Inventory management procedures.

Salary

USD 12,987 per year

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
