Position: Training and Development Officer
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Organizational Development, HR Management, or Public Health is an advantage.
- Proven experience in program design, learning & development, and compliance training, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital training tools.
- Fluent in Amharic and English (additional local languages are an asset).
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs.
- Demonstrated flexibility, resilience, and inclusivity in diverse cultural settings.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Training Needs Assessment: Identify and analyze employee training requirements across departments.
- Program Development: Design and implement targeted learning programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Training Facilitation: Deliver engaging, effective training sessions and workshops.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Monitor, assess, and report training outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Research and Learning: Promote data-driven learning approaches and best practices.
- Leadership and Communication: Support managers in building team capacity and leadership skills.
- Employee Development: Foster a learning culture focused on performance and career growth.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to healthcare, HR, and safety standards.
- Technology and Tools: Utilize LMS platforms and digital tools to enhance training delivery.
- Budget Management: Oversee training budgets and resource allocation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with HR and department heads to align learning objectives with institutional goals.
